From film composer to audiobook producer
I'm Dominic Benavides. I started out writing music for film, building scores that carried a story's mood and pulled audiences deeper into its characters. Somewhere along the way I realized a voice could do all of that too, and sometimes more. That pull led me into narration and audio production, and eventually to founding Sounds and Such.
Today I bring more than 15 years in audio recording, nearly a decade of it in audiobooks, and close to 250 titles produced with our team of narrators. We work with publishers, literary agents and indie authors, handling narration, editing, mastering and proofing, with files ready for Audible, Spotify and other retailers.
A composer's ear still shapes every project: pacing that keeps listeners engaged, sound that stays consistent from the first chapter to the last, and a proofing pass that catches errors before a retailer ever does.
